Series and Parallel Circuits (Interactive!): Electronics Basics 5
105K views • about 8 years ago
Learn about the differences between Series and Parallel Circuits. Try this circuit!: http://goo.gl/KKBERd Parallel circuits mean that anything connected shares the current in a circuit, meaning they can operate from the same power supply at a specific voltage. Components connected in series require voltage to be increased for each component in series, as there is no additional path for current to flow, therefore more resistance along the way. How Diodes work EASY! (Interactive!) - Electronics Basics 6
471K views • about 8 years ago
What is a diode? Understand what diodes are and what they do. Try this circuit! http://goo.gl/JBLUQg Software: http://everycircuit.com Twitter: https://twitter.com/Simp_electronic Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SimplyElectronicsYouTube/ Please refer to my video "Reversing Direction". there is a change in how I am demonstrating electron flow, moving to conventional flow. (Please note: Due to the direction of electron flow in the circuit, the diode symbol does not properly reflect the direction in which current is blocked, as current would actually flow in the reverse directions shown in this video. This is only due to the circuit using electron flow instead of conventional current flow; to be explained in a later video. But, aside from the slight visual inaccuracies, the video still clearly shows the diode conducting current in only one direction, and opposing current in the other. This is the main point I aimed to get across) Leave your comments below, suggestions may be considered for a video.
